Progress towards redefining the International System of Units in 2018

Last weeks (20 October) meeting of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM) resulted in a resolution recommending the redefinition of four base units of the International System of Units (SI): the kilogram, the ampere, the kelvin and the mole.

Over 1000 EUR Raised at a Humanitarian Event

The third “Corner of Wishes”, organized by NGO "Kutak" together with "Culture Corner" web portal team and the Bureau of Metrology was held Monday, 20 November. The event marked the occasion of the Universal Children's Day with an aim to raise money for the PI Day Care Centre for Children with Developmental Disorders and Persons with Disabilities from Nikšić.

BIPM Publishes BoM’s Calibration and Measurement Capabilities in the Field of Length Metrology

In October 2017, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) published the Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC) of the Bureau of Metrology in the field of length metrology.

Calibration and Measurement Capabilities of the Laboratory for Length were published based on its participation in EURAMET L-S22 (#1254) project and the results of an additional interlaboratory comparison “Calibration of gauge blocks by mechanical comparison” which targeted calibration of gauge blocks in the measurement range from 0,5 mm to 100,00 mm.
