At the 25th Meeting of the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) the election of new members of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM) was carried out, whose main role is to promote the use of uniform units around the world. Part of sessions was devoted to the analysis of the role of the CIPM MRA and CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement, in developing metrology institutions.

As part of the preparations for the 25th session of the General Conference on Weights and Measures, 17 November 2014, a visit was organized to the laboratories of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), which enabled an insight into the implementation of important projects worldwide in the field of metrology with the aim of redefining the SI base units.

Participation at the 25th Meeting of the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) was very important from the point of considering important issues for the development of metrology at the international level, in order to plan activities in the coming period which should be carried out by the Bureau of Metrology. In addition to declaring measurement capabilities of calibration and measuring (CMC) of the Bureau of Metrology in the future, it should be emphasized that an engagement of metrologists from the Bureau in the programs of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) is planned, to the extent which associate membership in the General Conference on Weights and measures (CGPM) allows it.
