Results of key and additional inter-comparisons are an ideal evidence for laboratory measurement and calibration capabilities, and this is the path chosen by the Large Volume Laboratory of the Bureau of Metrology. Large Volume Laboratory has, in June 2015, submitted an application for publishing the measurement and calibration capabilities (CMC) in the field of volume metrology.
Information in KCDB goes through a rigorous review process and the submitted applications are reviewed by the Joint Committee of regional metrological organizations and the BIPM (JRCB).
Based on the project: EURAMET project No.1079 - Volumetric and gravimetric calibration of a proving tank 20 L, 27 November 2015, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) acknowledged the capabilities of measurement and calibration in the field of volume metrology for metal measurement containers in the range from 2 l to 500 l, by a gravimetric method, which are implemented in national calibration Large Volume Laboratory of the Bureau of Metrology.
The table below shows the measurement and calibration capabilities, (CMC) in the BIPM KCDB, of the Bureau’s Large Volume Laboratory.
By publishing measurement and calibration capabilities (CMC) in the BIPM KCDB Large Volume Laboratory of the Bureau of Metrology confirms its competence at international level in the given scope and with the specified measurement uncertainties. Calibration certificates issued with the distinctive logo of the CIPM MRA confirm the competence of laboratories through the expressed CMC and as such are recognized worldwide.
