Bureau of Metrology’s employee - Independent Advisor III, Naina Čuturić Knežević, attended the Matra Rule of Law Training Programme called „Integrity of Civil Servants“. The course took place in the Hague, the Netherlands, from 9 to 20 May 2017.


The course included themes such as legal framework concerning integrity, the concept of integrity, whistleblower protection, and institutional framework for promoting integrity in the Netherlands, while special emphasis was given to the practice cases from this field. The participants were presented with various techniques for resolving dilemmas when at risk of compromising integrity. Furthermore, by visiting EU institutions such as the OLAF (European Anti-Fraud Office), Transparency International and the Dutch National Police, the participants were able to learn about the methods for fighting corruption as a positive practice of these institutions.

Alain Hoekstra, Henk Bruning, Kitty Nooy, Ana Vasilache, Jerfi Uzman, Alexander de Becker, Bart Hofstee, Winfried Kleinegris, Judith Ravelli, Annelies Faro, Peter Tange, Hans Stukart, John Devitt were among the experts and scholars in the field of integrity who had shared their hitherto experience and techniques for fighting corruption in different institutions with the course participants.

„Integrity of Civil Servants“ training programme was organized by the University of Leiden, the Netherlands Helsinki Committee and the Hague Academy for Local Governance.
